You know what they say about March…. “in like a lamb, out like a lion”, or the flip side is “in like a lion, out like a lamb.” Well, we met the “Beast” at the beginning of the month and the “Mini Beast” has only just passed over. So let’s hope that they’ll soon be a distant memory and March will melt into April in a blaze of daffodils, blossom and mild breezes.
As the Easter holidays loom large my thoughts turn to Family Photography. April is a wonderful month for capturing the anticipation of the summer ahead and for many kids the approach of their next step on the “growing up” ladder.
Whether 2018 is the year they start school or maybe move to a new school, this point in the year is perfect for capturing a precious stage before it’s all gone and they’re galloping on to the next one leaving just a distant memory.
Anyway, here’s a little photofilm to get you in the mood for what’s to come over the next couple of months…
All those pictures were taken in April – not the same April, of course, but I had a quick look through the archive and pulled out a few shots that made me smile.
I hope you enjoyed them. Photographing families is such a rewarding part of what I do. I capture pictures like these by always keeping it fun and light so the kids have a great time while I do my work. Their personality shines through and will be preserved forever in my images so you can enjoy the way they were long after they’ve grown up to the next stage and the one after that…..
